Yes, Idris Elba is a movie star. Yes, he’s People’s sexiest man alive, but he’s also a DJ. Did you guys know this? He really does it all, and he even plays a DJ in the Netflix original series, Turn Up Charlie. On this episode, he’s just talking about his real-life self, so let’s get into it.
Idris: What’s the one show you watch over and over? The one show that I watch over and over is the Ozarks. Wicked show.

Idris: And here’s another one. I hate talking about myself, but what do you wear to bed? What do I wear to bed? I wear what is commonly known as my birthday suit. What are the most recently used emojis on your phone and why? The recently used emojis, I think I use the laughing face quite a lot, because I’m talking about Turn Up Charlie. Shameless plug. What up? Okay, here we go, ladies and gentlemen. The anticipation is killing me. I hate talking about myself, but what was your first extravagant purchase? My first extravagant purchase, I was probably around 21 years old, and I got this TV job, and I went out and bought a second-hand, 4.6 Range Rover HSE with the green exterior and the cream tint with the piping, three-stroke alloys. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Let me tell you. That was extravagant. I drove through the hood, and everyone was like, wow, this guy made it. I hate talking about myself, but what’s something you say you’ll do but you never will? I think sometimes, I pick up my phone, and I look at it, and I’m going, you know what, I’m going to throw this into the river. But I ain’t doing that. It’s just not going to happen. So that’s that.
